ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Undergraduates Requirements

With more than 70% chance of gaining admission into the school, UCO has a very high acceptance rate if the requirements are met.

Indigenous students’ requirements:

Home-grown applicants can apply under two categories

Under this admission basis, the university requires that home-grown applicants provide tests scores of their college entrance examinations.

UCO requires a SAT (scholastic aptitude test) score of 980 and above and an ACT (American College Test) score of 20 and above.

  • Base on Grades from high schools:

Students can also apply on the grounds of high school grades. The requirements is a GPA of 2.7 and above on a 4.0 scale.

General requirements for home-grown students:

High school students in the country need to provide transcript that show all their academic qualifications and details. To apply for an undergraduate program, the students need to have obtained a high school diploma or certificate.

Additional information such as grades of standard tests taken, references, recommendations and reports from guidance counselors and teachers can also be added to ones portfolio for admission.

International students

Admission requirements for international students are listed below

  • An online application has to be completed and submitted.
  • A non-refundable fee of $50, which is also known as processing fee.
  • Academic credentials /transcripts with stamped official stamp of the school has to be uploaded and original copies forwarded to the school admission office.
  • English proficiency tests.
  • Bank statements showing bank records for the last 6months prior to the date of application.
  • Provision of the page of international passport that contains biodata and photo.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

One of the core values of the University of Central Oklahoma is aimed at ensuring that the tuition fees are affordable to both indigenous and foreign students.

Several scholarships are available to students on the grounds of academic excellence, skills in athletics or fine arts as well as scholarship on the grounds of financial needs and aid. The scholarship covers undergraduate.

Undergraduate scholarship:

Several undergraduate scholarships exist for students under various criteria. They include
